I'm looking for the type of rent that is so cheap that anyone with 15hours of work per week can afford. I'm talking $450 to $500. I do not want to spend any more than that. My wedding is in 3 months and expenses are through the roof. My fiancee is worried we would not be able to afford a honeymoon, but the thrifty in me had to look for deals. Back to rent though, I started by looking for apartments on the side of the road as I was commuting. Whenever I would see a phone number for renting a unit, I would dial the number and find out about the unit and ask for rent amount. But this method wasn't yeilding much results in my opinion so I shifted my efforts into online hide-and-go seek.
After going to google.com, my favorite search engine, I typed in 'cheap apartments (city, state)'. But of course I soon realized that that search method was inefective because my idea of cheap is different than someone elses idea of cheap (mine is $450 and someone elses is $700 and thats a $250 difference that I wasnt willing or able to afford). Anyway, I decided to search by price because it is specific. I typed in $450. What do you think happened? I'll let you know in my next post, Finding $450 Rental.
